Besides its wellness programme Leukerbad offers a wealth of sports facilities which leave nothing to be desired: tennis, squash, badminton, table tennis, mini-golf, bowls, fitness, soccer, track and field sports, guided mountain hikes as well as the impressive fixed-rope climbing route to Daubenhorn are also part of Leukerbad's summer activities.

The more than 60 km of hiking trails in beautiful surroundings lead to numerous scenic vantage points. While it is tempting to linger at the famous Gemmi pass and idyllic lake Dauben, you can enjoy the unique panoramic view of the Rhone valley and its 4000-m high mountains in the Torrent area.

In wintertime the beatiful ski area offers you more than 50 km of pistes, some of which have seen world-cup races, provide a wealth of opportunities for pursuing one's favourite hobby. Not only ski enthusiasts but also panorama lovers and sun worshippers can enjoy the scenic views of the four thousand meter high peaks of the Valais Alps. Cross-country skiers can exercise near the village or at Gemmi 2350 m above sea level. You are not into alpine or cross-country skiing? Doesn't matter, because we have facilities for ice-skating, curling, tennis and squash at the sports arena. The passionate hiker can walk on 40 km of open trails and enjoy the crisp mountain air.
