At one glance

The "glacier village" of Grindelwald is enveloped in a real scenic and unique alpine landscape. The world famous alpine peaks and mountains Wetterhorn, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are the background scenery of the Grindelwald valley. It is a very pretty, historic, year round resort, and the largest on the Jungfrau region pass, which includes also Wengen and Murren. Famous for the accessibility of its glacier and spectacular scenery, Grindelwald offers easy access to explore some large glaciers close-to, and has a network of cable-cars leading up to numerous short and long distance trails throughout the region and beyond. Even though skiing is excellent, Grindelwald is also a top choice for nonskiers on a winter holiday, because there are also a plenty of hiking trails which stay as such all winter!
