At one glance The Alpine Arena is formed by the three resorts of Flims, Laax and Falera. They lie on a sun terrace in the canton of Grau-bünden above the wild romance of the Rhine Gorge, at an elevation of 1100 m.
Between the «Swiss Grand Canyon» and the glacier in its highest reaches, there is a landscape of mountain pastures, forests, and mountain and fenland lakes. This region offers countless scenes of natural beauty and sights of cultural-historical interest, and is situated in the Rhaeto-Romanic area of the Surselva, which has its own language and culture. The summer climate is particularly mild.
When winter comes, the Alpine arena beckons to skiers and snowboarders alike from one of the largest interconnected snow resort complexes in the Alps. A total of 200 km of groomed pistes are available, covering every degree of difficulty.
